[Session 2] UN Global Citizenship: Leadership for Coexistence in Our Changing World |
2. 14(Thu), 10:30~12:30 / Grand Ballroom |
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Global Citizenship provide comprehensive visions and specific
guidelines towards the ways how humanity should live together on the shared planet, ensuring the fundamental
values of human dignity, equality, justice, peace and prosperity for all. Scientific & technological development such
as AI or robotics would contribute to achieve these goals for common goals, but the other side of our plane is
struggling to achieve a basic standard of living. Session 2 will critically identify the socio-economic issues and
environmental challenges of this rapidly changing world through the perspectives of distinguished speakers from the
United Nations, governments, academia, and civil society; also speakers and audience will discourse the role of
education, UN leadership and local policy application to establish a more inclusive and sustainable future of
humanity and the earth. |

The summer of 2018, the hottest summer ever, made not only Korea but also numerous countries experience
difficulties caused by abrupt climate changes. Climate change has not just been a story described in a textbook,
but it has become a severe problem influencing our daily lives. With scholars and experts on each filed, the
session discusses what the reason of abrupt climate changes is, whether it will be continued in the future, how we
handle environmental pollution and fine dust moving across a border, and what actions our humanity takes. |

[Session 4] Emerging Technology and Complexity |
2. 15(Fri), 10:00~11:30 / Auditorium |
The emerging technology, such as Big data, AI, development of robot technology, not simply affects industry but
also leads to substantial changes, coming into everywhere in our daily lives. As it is difficult to analyze a
result in a factor precisely, our changing life triggered by the Fourth Industrial Revolution will be processed
with various factors working simultaneously. In session 4, we are able to cognize the emerging technology and
listen to how the complexity theory, currently emerging as an important topic, explains and predicts our changing
life by the development of newly emerging technology and the future of humanity. |
